Repro participates in the first National Book Printers Conference
The first ever ‘National Book
Printers Conference’ was conducted
at Thiruvananthapuram on 17th
and 18th November 2011. More
than 330 delegates, including our
representatives, attended this event.
Print CEOs covered a wide range of
topics ranging from
‘types of export jobs’
and ‘the need for an
export specific infrastructure’ to
‘business models based on a content
development approach’.
Mr. Pramod Khera, Executive
Director of Repro India, presented
a white paper at the event where he
highlighted the five concern areas for the Indian book industry –
• Fragmented nature of the industry
• Quaint trade laws
• Infrastructural issues
• Lack of marketing initiatives
• Lack of co-ordination among the key stake-holders
Mr. Khera then
announced the
concept of a book city
in India where he provided a detailed
insight through ‘Vision 2017’.
The event provided a unique platform
for all industry participants to
converge and discuss various business
issues and concerns. |
